“I Gave My Sole for Parkinson’s” is Michigan Parkinson Foundation’s signature fundraising event. It is a Team / Pledge WALKING event that raises critical funds needed to bring support and help to those affected by Parkinson’s disease and their family members throughout ALL of Michigan. Whether you have Parkinson’s or have a loved one with Parkinson’s, 
“I Gave My Sole for Parkinson’s” is a fun day for the entire family (and is dog friendly).




“I Gave My Sole for Parkinson’s” has three events planned for 2018:


Metro Detroit – Birmingham – Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Seaholm High School

Lansing – E. Lansing – Saturday, September 15, 2018 at MSU Campus, The Auditorium Building

Southwest Michigan – Battle Creek – Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Binder Park Zoo


The money you raise stays right here in Michigan and supports the Michigan Parkinson  Foundation in its mission to provide programs and services that directly impact the quality of life for those who live with Parkinson’s disease in Michigan. We do this by providing financial assistance for in-home respite care, free patient educational programs offered throughout the state, financial assistance for costly medications,  71 Parkinson’s support groups, legal guidance and information and referrals for community services. Additionally we fund research that will hopefully lead to better treatment options for people with Parkinson’s. 

Raise Funds 

There are lots of fundraising incentives for those that raise $250 and more. Even if you can’t join us the day of the event, you can still support the event.

Team Captains that raise $5,000 or more qualify for a VIP TENT (you’ll have your own tent filled with coffee, fresh fruit, fresh juice, water, donuts and bagels – a perfect place for your team to gather before and after the Walk).

Participants that raise $500 or more qualify for a HERO Sign (24” x 18” sign that has a picture of YOUR Hero and will be placed on the walk route of ALL FUTURE WALKS). In 2017, over 50 proud “Heros” lined the path for the walkers!
